the dead art

The worst thing that ever happened to a surf reporter {this is the actual job description} was when he was handed a camera and asked to shoot a pic of what he had – until this unfortunate day -been bullshitting about on a regular basis. Now he had to be honest about it. These were nice pic units in the day so we owed the guy.
Bullshit was a high priority element of the daily surf news then, nobody got paid except in cameras was why that, and it had to get better now to get the sullen oaf reading the website, get his eyes, his scroll, to go further down to the written words. He had to come looking for us, because this guy needed to get pissed off, regularly, every working day. So he tried to play us like meat. He was looking for a free ride.
Plus he was probably a regular surfer, probably good bloke, been around – and now he’s slacking off in his carpet-cube at $50 per getting stuck into me. But who can get pissed off with that, this is what we do.
Did.
Fuck ’em anyway eh Shearer, and the boat they came in. Easier to scrape them off these days.
We used to prize the sullen oafs, they could email back to whomever was shitting them off on the day, just like the comments on Freeride Voice today. But they were better in the early email days because they seemed to be more IN YOUR FUCKEN EYE!
I saved all mine, have them all here in two big black scrapbooks – like a CV.
Not a lot of work around though, right now.
That’s Freeride Voice’s logo, ta
Get funny Steve
This sullen oaf would be happy with bullshit. Better than nothin….
More fool me, I guess.
did I just get scraped .. ?
Re-Fried Voice.
A lot to be said , that will most likely not
that could even handle a comma after the lot ..
For the final record, my comment was an oblique (frustrated) reference to the [lack of] new reading material on the site you yourself referenced.
As punishment for which, apparently, I’ve now been scraped.
C’est la vie.
