It took Cochrane about 70 years to admit Dooley was a better surfer.

    Andy passed away last week in a care home in Honolulu. He wanted to return to his beloved Bondi but it just didn’t work out that way. We can’t feel sorry for Andy as he had a great life, but I and many more friends will truly miss him. He was a kind and generous man, a forever friend, a best mate. Cowboys wanted to die with their boots on, Andy wanted to die with a full head of hair and that he did! Andy was a great surfer but he will always be remembered for being a ladies man…lucky bastard! His best friend John “Wheels” Williams passed away a few years back and he really missed him. Now they’re together once again. Another Bondi boy gone but not forgotten! Miss ya mate but I’ve got my memories. Aloha Mike

    Magoo, Wheels, Brennan, Cornish, Pickford, Lindsay, Ross, Mayes, Dutchy, Ward, Jimmy Brown, Ron Platt, Scotty, Young … It’s a bloody massacre Mike. Problem is, if what you heathens believe of the afterlife, it’s going to be just as crowded up there as it was in Bondi in 1960.
