A man was asked,
‘What does it take to write a book?’
.. and was answered
‘Someone who is unsure of himself.’
‘How is that?’
‘To write a book means you have to inhabit each of the characters, and none of them are your own.’

The Man said, ok, ok, I will continue to go forth.
Though I will give up poetry.
