    Rasta, outside all the marketing, and i’me sure he ia very apt himself at it…. Expresses himself through those arcing fluid cutbacks. To this day the measure of a surfers felling with a wave. The trim & speed line are the hook that makes us lifelong surfers but transformation into the seamless cutback is a gift. It is marketed but gee it is a pure line.

    I actually have been one who has been some what septical of the marketing of not only Rasta but many aspects of surfing (negative) although over time have come to the understanding of it that it is your experience from day to day, month to month, year to year…. That determines your experience as a surfer.

    What many know is that every local break has a Rasta.. That is a surfer who’s rail is pure and line true. But irrespective of marketing or corporate influences Rasta is a great surfer but that’s it… He is only a surfer like Kelly, like Pete, like me,like you…

    Love Rasta’s cutback, love Andy Berkos low tide speed rebounds out the point on any craft….

    Well, in keeping with your Richard Cram thread, spot on. Rasta does have that rail buried. Have to love the bottom shot too… the layback is a forgotten art.

    Billabong or no, dave R can bury his rail and I never get tired of that approach.
