Well, that particular view of the pic deserves a little attention, and a few amendments.
So, where to start here ..
The left arm is in neutral, neither heading in nor heading out, the left arm doesn’t know what the head is thinking so it’s sticking close to the left leg and waiting for a directional message to issue from there. The right arm has been fire-rocketed out the back so far, and so fast the committee here need a marine architect to draw its relocation trajectory. Nobody with 30+ years under the boardshorts does windmills, do they.
The right outflung arm is not only coping with its designated duty ie; help slice the board back around, it’s been given the other bloke’s job as well, the do-nothing left arm bludging down there, maybe he has an itch on the knee, sea-lice.
The head: never good to look at even from a distance, and in this case it looks anxious for another feature move at the bottom of what could only be a pleasant day for the kiddies at Newport Peak. There’s one under Carroll’s squirt there, I guess he’s going WOW at the old master, either that or he just had to look away.
The shoulder is good, well muscled and toned, as is the head-muscle, nobody messes with guys who have domes.

Well Pete old Dog , lets put his style into perspective given the shot is in Bali and he is riding a high volume firewire type monstrosity with a razor sharp rail under his back foot designed to both throw up the spray and actually allow the bath tub of a thing actually get almost onto a tail rail and change direction without grinding out sideways. I.e. its not a cut back rather a tail wiggle waggle in the pocket
is it Nick’s fault the shot was snapped when he was barning out on the shoulder? or the fault of the lowly paid caption writer?
perhaps surfing is a team sport. rider hypes for the camera, cameraman hypes for the rider/barnold.

Oh yes Maurice I agree Taj is ripping but if was to bla bla vblaaa , Yea Nick he is on fire shame he is not ridding a blaa blaa blaa , ohh hang on Maurice looks like Mick has just done Taj up he should have bla bla bla ohh ,yes Nick offcourse if he had of bla bla bla bla instead of bla bla we would be drinking piss with him right now instead of standing on the stairs like a couple of burnout hero’s passing judgment on athletes we no longer have the knowledge to understand …

Hey sjh! I am quite serious about my new found ability for prose! I bet you I place in the Ipswich Poetry Feast! Granted some of it better than others, but I’m am learning, and it was a shit poem. I kinda thought it was Occy, maybe that’s another post?
