There are some ancients amongst us who upon observing this pic may find an almost visceral pleasure at having been reminded how things were when we were young.
It’s not just the tram, it’s the familiar images of the buildings both near and far.

The tram is about to go under the Cutting at the Francis St / Campbell Pde crossing. What was the Tarleton Hotel is just out of the picture. I would guess that photo was taken in 1958. I caught that tram every day to school.
