The Kook is on the left – Mike Bennett. Wheels Williams is in the middle and that old boy remains so cool he doesn’t care which way the camera is pointing. The knee, by the way, was bent trying to return a Sampras backhand.
Mike is known as the Canadian Kook. He got named that about a hundred years ago and nobody can remember if he got any better at it.
The shot is taken on the sand out front of the Canoe Club on Waikiki. See those chairs over Mikes’ shoulder?

When I look at these fellas, a song comes to mind, the Watermelon Wine one. I have no right to comment , no jurisdiction as it where. But it doesn’t stop me appreciating them.
