    Wheels Williams had a lot of stories about the Pass. One day he told me and de Ruter that the waves were absolutely perfect and went on forever! He told us he took a bottle of beer with him and had time to finish it ‘cause the ride was so long! Wheels we said, you’re full of it, how’d you open it, no screw tops in those days, did you have a bloody opener with ya? Silence, and a look of dejection!!! We sure miss our mate.
