Jeez, even Cram looks like his cutbacks here aren’t being driven with a slightly opened, instead of knocked, front knee… and would not look that good all the way through, on video. Of course tri-fins never were the greatest vehicle for roundhouses… for the same complex reasons they encourage “butt up” instead of “lay down” frontside bottom turns, and backside cutties. At least they go well enough on backside bottom turns (and Parko’s frontside cutback version thereof).
The last pic… iconic as it is of Cram… reminds me of Bruce.
…
Cram was Taylor Knox. Beautifully sat on heavy turns until every ounce of his boards template had run it’s course.
Don’t remember why he settled for the back half of ten, but the talent was there and a really good guy to boot.
Comparing him to Bruce is Blasphemy.
I practiced cutbacks to get them going like Cram’s for decades. Alas, I couldn’t get there. Bloody epic his cutties were.

I’m thinking that Rog must have one killer cuttie of his own here, he sure has the lowdown.
