the last great treasure hunt

This morning a million dollars worth of packaged and waterproofed cocaine was found washed up on Curl Curl and Freshie beaches (see pic). This happy event has resulted in the carparks of both beaches being packed to capacity today by hundreds of cars originating from Sydney’s eastern suburbs: Mercedes, Audis, Alfa Romeos, Lexus, Aston Martins, Lamborghinis and more strangely, the beaches and headlands looked to be extremely busy with men and women not normally known to have the beachcombing habit. All those frocks, high heels, Chinos and high-sided riding boots.
Local police have advised that they would not be surprised to see a great aurora-like winking of torch lights on the coast tonight as half the population of Sydney ferrets for illegal booty under the cliffs.
Not surfers though, we rise above such shenanigans.

I have read and watched so much surfing history, trying to be a legit surfer that I know there has been boards hollowed out and used as transportation devices of another sort. Personally, I hold surfing in too higher regard to do that, but I didn’t start surfing till I was 25+, so I may be taking the moral higher ground without thinking.

Those guys with the hollowed out boards must have played the simple dumb surfer to a t as well.
