I always thought he was a great bloke.
Mick and yourself planned a trip up north and ended up with me in the backseat and a sweet little 8 foot that belonged to a school chum on the roof … You went on to Moree after a couple of days of shitting ourselves on Kirra’s banks and putting up with Jack Mayes and his bluster.
When the two of us got back to Byron and Mick showed his moves at the Saturday night surf club dance I was filled with an unreasonable measure of envy … but he won the babes. Lucky lad. Bloody goofy foot though.
