michael kew – how he sees it
Lake Superior, a little on the brisk side.
This is the sort of prose that you can find from time to time and that helps convince that there are more than a couple of surfer / writers out there who will probably write with distinction for years but go unread for most of them.
This is Mick Kew’s stuff – It sounds like he does it all cold and hard but the bastard seems to score rather well. He also quotes J Kerouac – which is a fine thing for a writer to do.

Kew has a bad habit of traveling to locales without surf where he drinks with odd locals. Then he passes on exotic supermodel cheifs daughters, the waves get good and he passes on the surf because it’s too shallow or something.
Seriously, if the man invites you on a trip, do your own research!
